The Knox County Schools Adult Education program offers instruction in Basic Skills, Pre-GED, G.E.D. Preparation, and English Language Learners (ELL) for non-native speakers of English. There contact information is: Historic Knoxville High 101 E. Fifth Ave., Knoxville, TN 37917 (865) 594-3622
The GED Testing Center administers the General Educational Development (GED) Test for those individuals who have not graduated from high schools, but need a high school equivency diploma. The test is administered on a regularly scheduled basis and candidates must pre-register. GED preparation classes and the Official Practive Test are available through the Adult Basic Education Program.(865-594-3622)
